The nitrenes, ReF5(NCl) and ReF5(NF)

Abstract

The nitride fluoride ReNF4 has been isolated from the action of Me3SiN3 on ReF6; subsequent reactions with ClF3 yield the nitrenes ReF5(NCl) and ReF5(NF), characterized by X-ray structure determinates.
