The radical cation of tetramethylstannane: an electron spin resonance study

Abstract

The cation (SnMe4)+ formed by exposing dilute solutions of SnMe4 in Freon to 60Co γ-rays, has an e.s.r. spectrum exhibiting strong hyperfine coupling to three equivalent protons: hence the distortion differs from those of SiMe4+ and GeMe4+.
