Kinetics of addition of 2-methyl-2-silapropene to methyl trimethylsilyl ether

Abstract

Arrhenius parameters for the regiospecific addition of Me2Si[double bond, length half m-dash]CH2 across the silicon–oxygen bond in Me3SiOMe, giving Me3SiCH2SiMe2OMe, have been measured; comparisons are made with similar reactions.
