2-Methyl-5-azabicyclo[2.2.0]hex-2-en-6-one, a photoisomer of 4-methyl-2-pyridone, is transformed upon ozonolysis and reduction into two diastereoisomeric azetidin-2-ones, substituted at the 3- and 4-positions.
