Vibrational structure in the luminescence spectra of uranium-doped tungstates with ordered perovskite structure

Abstract

The vibrational structure which is observed in the luminescence spectra of uranium-doped tungstates with ordered perovskite structure has been investigated using, among other methods, selective excitation techniques. Several types of luminescent uranate centres (UO^6–₆) are present in these compounds even at low uranium concentrations. An analysis of the vibrational structure is presented.
