Abstract

cis-[(en)2Co(S2O3)2]– is oxidized by aqueous iodine to yield free sulphate and trans-[(en)2Co(OH2)(S3O3)]+, a moderately stable complex containing the very reactive ligand, disulphane monosulphonate.
