Spectral evidence for chromium(IV) and chromium(V) in the chromyl acetate oxidation of alkylaromatics in acetic anhydride

Abstract

Spectrophotometric, kinetic, and e.s.r. data are presented for the first time for the formation of chromium-(IV) and chromium(V) in the chromyl acetate oxidation of alkylaromatics in acetic anhydride.
