Is the Jovanovic isotherm theoretically valid?

Abstract

It is shown that the Jovanovic isotherm is derived using an erroneous assumption concerning the rate of adsorption. When the correct fomulation is used in the derivation the resultant isotherm is that due to Langmuir.
