Diffusion of chemisorbed hydrogen in a platinum zeolite
Abstract
This paper reports the results of a study of the diffusion of hydrogen adsorbed at the “surface” of a 12 Å cluster of platinum atoms, prepared and encaged within a Y-type zeolite. The mean time between diffusional jumps lies between 3.0 and 8 × 10–9 s at 100°C which compares with the equivalent time of 2.7 ± 0.5 × 10–9 s measured for Raney nickel at 150°C.
