Viscosity of gaseous carbon dioxide, sulphur hexafluoride and nitrous oxide at low temperatures

Abstract

The viscosities of carbon dioxide, sulphur hexafluoride and nitrous oxide have been measured in the temperature range 190–310 K using a capillary flow technique. The results are considered to be accurate ± 1% except at the lowest experimental temperature and are used to estimate the dispersion force coefficients for the gases under investigation.
