Carbonyl-free hydride-bridged mixed organotransition metal complexes: X-ray crystal structure of [(η5-C5H5)2W(µ-H)2Rh(PPh3)2]PF6

Abstract

The preparation of carbonyl-free mixed organotransition metal complexes [(η5-C5H5)2M(µ-H)2Rh(PPh3)2]PF6, (M = Mo or W) in which (η5-C5H5)2MH2 exhibits a novel bonding mode is described, and the X-ray crystal structure of the title compound, which undergoes H–D exchange at the cyclopentadienyl rings under mild conditions, has been determined.
