Formation of the nickela-cyclic amide complex 1-tricyclohexylphosphino-4-methyl-1,2-azanickelacyclopentan-3-one by the reaction of methacrylamide with bis(cyclo-octadiene)nickel in the presence of tricyclohexylphosphine

Abstract

The reaction of bis(cyclo-octadiene)nickel with methacrylamide in the presence of tricyclohexylphosphine (PCy3) gives a nickela-cyclic amide complex (PCy3)[graphic omitted]H2(1), which affords 3-methyl-succinimide on reaction with CO.
