Effect of the countercation and solvent on the formation of anionic tricobalt carbonyl clusters
Abstract
The formation of the anionic cluster [Co3(CO)10]– from [Co(CO)4]– and Co2(CO)8, or Co4(CO)12 was optimized using lithiam as countercation and di-n-butyl ether as solvent; analytically pure Li[Co3(CO)10]·Et2O was obtained in Et2O.
