Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of the anion [Co6(CO)14(µ-CO)2P]; an example of a ‘semi-interstitial phosphide’

Abstract

The anion [Co6(CO)16P] has been obtained by reaction of PCl3 with Na[Co(CO)4]; the six metal atoms form four triangles linked in a chain surrounding a ‘semi-interstitial’ phosphide atom.
