Crystal and molecular structures of (η-methylcyclopentadienyl)(η-7-exo-phenylcyclohepta-1,3,5-triene)manganese

Abstract

The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods from photographic data assessed by a film scanner. Crystals are monoclinic, space group P2₁/c with Z= 4, in a cell of dimensions a= 7.54(1), b= 11.77(2), c= 16.42(2)Å, and β= 80.6(2)°. The structure has been solved by Patterson and Fourier methods, and refined by least-squares techniques to R 0.097 for 999 reflections.
