The complex cis-Fe(phen)2(NCBPh3)2(phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) exhibits synchronous spin- and stereo-isomerization in CH2Cl2, suggesting a previously unrecognized mechanism for spin-equilibria in octahedral complexes.
