Pseudo-rotation in seven-co-ordination: implications in catalysis. X-Ray crystal structure of [HMo(C2H4)2(cis-Ph2PCH[double bond, length half m-dash]CHPPh2)2]+

Abstract

The seven-co-ordinate complex, [HMo(C2H4)2-(cis-Ph2PCH[double bond, length half m-dash]CHPPh2)]+, is pentagonal bipyramidal both in solution and in the solid state, and undergoes internal rearrangement by a pseudo-rotation process.
