Note on the kinetics of emulsion polymerization

Abstract

Gilbert and Napper have recently analysed the kinetics of emulsion polymerization when n, the average number of free radicals per particle, is much less than 1. We develop an exact solution to the equations examined by these investigators, and by using the generating function technique, show how a perturbation expansion can be obtained.
