Homolytic ring-opening of thietans by oxygen-centred radicals: SH2 attack at sulphur

Abstract

t-Butoxyl, ethoxyl, or trimethylsiloxyl radicals attack at sulphur in thietan or 2-methylthietan to bring about rapid homolytic ring-opening.
