Thermodynamic properties of 1:1 adducts between water and various bases in carbon tetrachloride

Abstract

Equilibrium constants have been measured for the formation of 1:1 adducts between water and a series of bases in CCl4, using an i.r. spectroscopic technique. Enthalpies of formation of the complexes have been determined from the temperature dependence of the equilibrium constants.
