New Group IB metal chemistry. Part 6. Reactions of copper(I) acetylides with chloro(η-cyclopentadienyl)bis(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium and cis-tricarbonylchlorobis(triphenylphosphine)rhenium
Abstract
Reactions between [RuCl(PPh3)2(C5H5)] and Cu(C2R) afford [RuCuCl(C2R)(PPh3)2(C5H5)][R = Me, Ph (I), or p-MeC6H4], [RuCu(C2R)2(PPh3)(C5H5)](R =p-MeC6H4 or p-FC6H4), [{RuCu(C2C6F5)2(PPh3)(C5H5)}2] and [Ru(C2R)(PPh3)2(C5H5)](R =p-FC6H4 or C6F5). Treatment of (I) with MeC(CH2PPh2)3(tde) gives [Ru(C2Ph)(PPh3)2(C5H5)] and [CuCl(tde)]; Fe2(CO)9 and (I) react to give the trinuclear cluster [Fe2Ru(C2Ph)(CO)6(PPh3)(C5H5)]. Similar reactions between cis-[ReCl(CO)3(PPh3)2] and Cu(C2R) afford [ReCuCl(C2Ph)(CO)3(PPh3)2], [ReCu(C2C6F5)2(CO)3(PPh3)2], and [Re(C2C6F5)(CO)3(PPh3)2].
