Experimental test of a multilayer model of a regular solution/vapour interface

Abstract

Surface tensions and adsorptions at the surface are reported for the system cyclohexane + carbon tetrachloride over a range of compositions and temperatures. The experimental data are compared with the values of these properties obtained with a multilayer model of the regular solution/vapour interface. Model and experiment are in good agreement for the adsorption, but not for the surface tension.
