New, high-yield synthesis of ‘mixed’ trialkylboranes (RA2RBB)

Abstract

Dialkylbromoboranes may be converted into ‘mixed’ trialkylboranes (RA2RBB) in high yield using sodium hydride reduction in the presence of an alkene, a method with excellent functional group tolerance.
