Abstract

U.v. irradiation of Fe(CO)5 and dimethyldiacetylene (DMDA) in tetrahydrofuran gave tetracarbonyl-(2-methyl-3-prop-1-ynylmaleoyl)iron(o), (1); its structure has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
