Synthesis and structure of the polymeric metal, (SN)x, and its precursor, S2N2

Abstract

The synthesis and X-ray structure of the polymeric metal, polymeric sulphur nitride, and the structure of S2N2, which undergoes polymerization in the solid state at room temperature to give (SN)x, are described.
