The conformational analysis of saturated heterocycles. Part LVII. Cyclic and acyclic tetra-alkylhydrazines

Abstract

Equilibrium and kinetic processes in acyclic, cyclic, and polycyclic tetra-alkyltetrazines are discussed with reference both to new and to literature data. A consistent overall picture is presented in terms of ‘passing’ and ‘non-passing’ inversion processes which differ in the magnitude of steric hindrance in the transition state.
