Ultrasonic relaxation in aqueous solutions of lithium salts and sodium poly(α,L-glutamic acid)
Abstract
An ultrasonic relaxation process is observed in aqueous solutions of sodium poly(α, L-glutamic acid) containing high concentrations of LiCl and LiClO4. It arises from an equilibrium involving hydrated lithium ions and the carbonyl group of the peptide bond.
