The effect of lysozyme on some glycosides which contain N-acetylxylosamine residues

Abstract

Several aryl glycosides of oligosaccharides containing an N-acetylxylosamine residue are shown to be very poor substrates of lysozyme, in accord with Phillips' theory of substrate distortion.
