Abstract

The major products of the propiolate reactions are pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazol-2-ones and those of the malonate reactions are pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazol-4-ones. The 1H n.m.r., i.r., and u.v. spectra of the products are discussed.
