Structure of the aluminotitanium hydride [(C5H5)(C5H4)TiHAl(C2H5)2]2

Abstract

A model olefin polymerization catalyst characterized in the past as [(C5H5)2TiAlEt2]2 is shown to be a hydride complex [(C5H5)(C5H4)TiHAlEt2]2, with the hydride ligand presumably bridging the titanium and aluminium atoms.
