Polyhalogenoallenes. Part IX. Reaction of tetrafluoroallene with bistrifluoromethyl nitroxide and with perfluoro-(2,4-dimethyl-3-oxa-2,4-diazapentane)

Abstract

Perfluoro-[1,3-bis(dimethylamino-oxy)propan-2-one], perfluoro-(2-dimethylamino-3-dimethylamino-oxyprop-1-ene), perfluoro-(2,4-dimethyl-3-oxa-2,4-diazapentane), and polymeric material can be obtained by treating tetra-fluoroallene with bistrifluoromethyl nitroxide at room temperature or below. The propene arises from attack on tetrafluoroallene by perfluoro-(2,4-dimethyl-3-oxa-2,4-diazapentane).
