Transient species in the reactions of some pyridyl complex ions with hydrated electrons

Abstract

The reactions of eaq with Co(bipy)33+, Ru(bipy)32+, and Co(terpy)23+ give transient species whose reactivities are consistent with the view that they are radical anions of the pyridyl ligands.
