Photolytic boron–carbon scission as a second primary photoprocess of (benzylmethylamino)benzylphenylborane

Abstract

Irradiation of (benzylmethylamino)benzyl-phenylborane in carbon tetrachloride results in homolysis of the boron–benzyl bond and formation of boron and alkyl radical recombination and solvent abstraction products.
