The infrared spectrum of Hofmann's benzene clathrate

Abstract

Unless sufficient care is taken in the preparation of Nujol mull or potassium bromide disc samples of Hofmann's benzene clathrate, partial decomposition occurs and spurious i.r. spectra are recorded.
