Catalytic hydrogenation of benzene by lamellar compounds C8K and C24K

Abstract

Graphite–potassium (C8K and C24K) lamellar compounds behave as catalysts, similar to transition-metal catalysts, for the hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane in high yields.
