Insertion of carbon disulphide into a metal–fluorine bond: crystal structure of [Pt(S2CF)(PPh3)2][HF2]

Abstract

The reaction of CS2 with [PtF(PPh3)3][HF2] gives a bisphosphine platinum dithiofluoroformate complex [Pt(S2CF)(PPh3)2][HF2], the result of insertion of CS2 into the Pt–F bond.
