Factors which affect the stability of aluminium hydride solutions

Abstract

The loss of reducing power of solutions of this reagent in ethers is shown to depend on both aggregation and solvolysis. The former is dominant at higher concentrations and at lower temperatures, whereas the latter controls the rate of inactivation of dilute solutions.
