σρ Relationships in the ultraviolet spectra of 4-R-, 5-R-, and 6-R-2-nitrodiphenyl sulphides in methanol and in cyclohexane

Abstract

The u.v. spectra of some 4-R-, 5-R-, and 6-R-2-nitrodiphenyl sulphides have been determined in methanol and in cyclohexane. The 4-R- and 5-R-series have been correlated with σρ modified relationship.
