Transition metal complexes as ligands: mixed metal complexes of molybdenum or tungsten and iron or cobalt

Abstract

The complexes (π-C5H5)2M(SR)2(M = Mo or W, and R = Me, Et or Bun) act as ligands to cobalt forming the complexes such as (π-C5H5)2W(SBun)2CoX2(X = Cl, Br, I or SCN). I.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic properties are described. The preparation and properties of the related iron complexes (π-C5H5)2Mo(SR′2)FeCl-(R′= Me or Bun) are reported.
