Dialkylaminotellurium(VI) fluorides
Abstract
Tellurium hexafluoride reacts with the silylamines R2N·SiMe3(R = Me, Et) to produce the dialkylaminotellurium pentafluorides TeF5·NMe2 TeF5·NEt2 and TeF5·NC4H8. With an excess of silylamine the bis-substituted derivatives TeF4(NMe2)2 is formed. Evidence is presented for the formation of TeF5·NMeEt, Te5F4(NMe2)(NEt2), TeF5·NMe·SiMe3, and TeF5·N(Me)·CH2·CH2·N(Me)·Si(Me2)F.
