Unstable intermediates. Part LXXXVI. Electron spin resonance studies of the effect of γ-rays on potassium difluorophosphate: the radical PO2F

Abstract

The magnetic parameters of PO2F in potassium difluorophosphate show that this pyramidal radical is structurally similar to the isoelectronic radical PO32–, the spin-density on phosphorus being slightly increased and the p:s ratio on phosphorus slightly reduced. The isotropic coupling to 19F (165 G) is similar to that for CF3.
