Studies on tertiary phosphine–hydride and –hydridoborohydride compounds of nickel and palladium

Abstract

The isolation and properties of the complexes trans-(R13P)2M1H(BH4) and trans-(R13P)2M2HM, where M1= Ni or Pd; R1= Pri, cyclohexyl, M2= Pd, X = Cl, Br, I, or NCS, are described. Exchange reactions of the type (i) where R2= Et, Prn, and Bun, have been studied by 1H n.m.r. (R23P)2M1XH [graphic omitted] (R13P)(R23P)M1HX [graphic omitted] (R23P)2M1HX (i)
