New, improved syntheses of bisbenzeneiron(II) hexafluorophosphate and related compounds

Abstract

Bisbenzeneiron(II) hexafluorophosphate is made in excellent yield by the reaction of FeCl3, AlCl3, and benzene followed by solvolysis and treatment with aqueous ammonium hexafluorophosphate.
