The crystal and molecular structure of bis-(2-methyl-8-quinolinolato)oxovanadium(IV)

Abstract

The vanadium atom in bis-(2-methyl-8-quinolinolato)oxovanadium(IV) is five-co-ordinate and has a trigonal-bipyramidal co-ordinate and has a trigonal-bipyramidal co-ordination polyhedron in which the three oxygen atoms and the vanadium atom are in the equatorial plane and the two nitrogen donors occupy the apical positions.
