Cope rearrangement of some germacrane-type furan sesquiterpenes. Part III. Rearrangement of cis,trans-cyclodeca-1,5-diene derivatives
Abstract
Cope rearrangements of some cyclodecafuran sesquiterpenes containing cis-1,trans-5- or trans-1,cis-5-diene systems have been examined. The rearrangement products were all trans-1,2-divinyl derivatives rather than the expected cis-1,2-divinyl compounds.
