3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-2-O-benzyl-α-D-glucopyranosyl bromide has been prepared. Treatment with silver acetate gave 1,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-2-O-benzyl-β-D-glucopyranose; methanolysis gave methyl 3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2-O-benzyl-β-D-glucopyranoside.
