Abstract

The tertiary amine (m.p. 96–97°) reported earlier as 5,7-diethyl-3-hydroxymethyl-5,7-dinitro-1-oxa-3-azacyclooctane (II) has the structure of 5-ethyl-3-(2-hydroxymethyl-2-nitrobutyl)-5-nitrotetrahydro-1,3-oxazine (Ib).
