Some novel heterocyclic systems related to benzocycloheptene

Abstract

Some new substituted 6,7,8,9-tetrahydrobenzocyclohepten-5-ones (I) were prepared by use of the Stork enamine procedure. From some of these, novel tricyclic heterocyclic systems (hexahydrobenzo[6,7]cyclohepta-[1,2-b]-pyrrol-2(3H)-one, tetrahydrobenzo[6,7]cyclohept[1,2-c]isoxazol-3-one, and octahydrobenzo[6,7]cyclohepta-[1,2-b]pyridin-2-one) were produced.
