Limonoids from Xylocarpus granatum Koenig

Abstract

The seed of Xylocarpus granatum have been found to contain a new compound, xylocarpin, which we have identified as methyl 3β-acetoxy-8α,30α-epoxy-1-oxomeliacate. The reactions of the compound with acid and alkali have been investigated.
