The ionization constants for the cyclobutanedicarboxylic acids have been measured in water and are found to be: cis-1,2-, pK1 4·16, pK2 6·23; trans-1,2-, pK1 3·94, pK2 5·55; cis-1,3-, pK1 4·08, pK2 5·12; trans-1,3-, pK1 4·11, pK2 5·15.
